Due to the different speeds of the Sun, Moon, and Earth, an eclipse is bound to happen. No one can stop it. The planets and constellations have effects on Earth. Just as you feel a cool breeze even if it rains far away, similarly, even if the eclipse is not visible in India, it will be visible somewhere on Earth, and its effects will be felt.
The effects of a lunar eclipse are seen on nature and creation. The moonlight helps in the production of sap in plants. During a lunar eclipse, moonlight cannot reach the Earth, causing a defect in this sap production. Some disease-causing germs become very active and multiply rapidly during a lunar eclipse.
A solar eclipse has very bad effects on humanity. Many visible and invisible creatures are created on this Earth. Sunlight helps control them. During an eclipse, the creation of such harmful creatures increases. The world becomes dull during an eclipse; it does not feel vibrant. Humans also become gloomy. Why do we feel happy in the presence of nature at other times? It is because the wind touches the fresh leaves of plants and comes to us, making us feel good, enthusiastic, and happy. That is why people always go for walks in open and scenic places.
During an eclipse, one should keep the mind and body pure. One should not eat or drink anything during this time. The chances of harmful germs entering the stomach are higher during this period. Pregnant women should take special care during an eclipse. The fetus in the womb feels hungry at any time. Even then, some restrictions should be imposed, and food should be consumed only after the eclipse is over. During an eclipse, the power of gods is reduced, and the power of demons is strong, which can cause mental disorders in future offspring.
One should bathe in the sea or a holy place during or after the eclipse. Charity is important during an eclipse. One should donate food, clothes, and other items as per their capacity. If you cannot do anything else during the eclipse, you should take the name of God and meditate to avoid any harmful effects
